As the first transformable entry in the RMD lineup, Azure Falcon can convert between a fully articulated humanoid mecha form and a streamlined 43 cm-long fighter mode without requiring conventional parts-swapping. Its complex transformation system uses hidden pin-latch locks, rotational locking joints, and retractable mechanical linkages to maintain stability in both configurations.

One of the kit’s major highlights is its alloy-reinforced and POM-supported internal structure. Alloy components are used in important load-bearing areas such as the backpack support and waist core, while POM is incorporated into key joints to improve durability and stability during repeated transformation. The model also features a sophisticated multi-linkage hydraulic mechanism in the legs, allowing the knee exterior and rear calf sections to move together during articulation.

Azure Falcon also includes an impressive range of mechanical gimmicks. The cockpit canopy can be opened to reveal a detailed instrument panel, control stick, buttons, and an independently articulated safety harness, together with a tiny 15 mm six-part pilot figure. The dorsal weapons bay features a slide-rail mechanism that automatically moves the grenade launcher forward when the hatch opens, while rotating surveillance probes add further mechanical detail. Another standout feature is the fully articulated individual fingers, which incorporate an internal lever mechanism that helps secure weapons when the wrist is rotated.
